After catching our breath after the Primary, earlier this week Team Boots hit the ground again attending the first of several meetings on efforts to revitalize Glendale Town Center. At this informal meeting, speakers from Kite Realty and Milhaus outlined their proposed $50 Million plan for the area. Among them were Mark Jenkins, SVP of Retail Development with Kite, Brad Vogelsmeier, Director of Development with Milhaus, and Joe Calderon, of Barnes & Thornburg. The plans include transforming the former Macy's store into a space for 4-6 retail tenants and the construction of 3-story apartment buildings along the east side of Rural St. (where the current parking lot is). We are excited about this plan to breathe some new life into the Glendale area!
Stay tuned as the post-Primary regular campaign season has now begun! If you would like Team Boots to come to your neighborhood, please let us know!
