As a life-long Hoosier, I have seen our city change and grow. Our unprecedented growth has brought with it new opportunities for our city to invest in economic development, public safety, and infrastructure - opportunities that I believe we are missing and which our communities particularly need.
I have lived in the northeast gateway to the Indianapolis region for nearly 30 years. After receiving my graduate degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law, my wife and I settled down in NE Marion County and raised four beautiful children, each of whom attended Washington Township Public schools and are now in college or post-college. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our lives in the neighborhoods of Fallwood Apartments, Eagle Nest, Ivy Hills and Steinmeier Estates, where we have resided since 2000.
During my time here, I have found a passion for working for organizations dedicated to making our community a better place to live and work.
Among these are:
Binford Redevelopment and Growth (BRAG)
Greater Allisonville Community Council (GACC)
The Advancement Center for Washington Township Schools
and North Central AlumniEpworth United Methodist Church
Allisonville Elementary School
Eastwood Middle School
North Central High School
Allisonville Youth Softball/Baseball
Glendale Recreational Soccer
Panther Youth Basketball and Football
What I have learned in working with these groups is that it’s time to “get off the sidelines” and work for my community, striving to make change at a higher level.
It is not enough to simply advocate - it’s time to legislate.
This is a pivotal point in the future of our community. I have worked in the technology and intellectual property fields for over 30 years and have advocated for our community and schools for the same. With a new digital economy on the horizon and the long-term effects of new infrastructure and revitalization projects on the table, we need someone in city government who is prepared to ask the right questions and seek the best answers to ensure the best interests of our citizens and community are top priority.
It’s time to act . . . and I’m ready.
